This campaign has become necessary out of the recent events of Genocide in the Occupied territories of Palestine. Many people feel disenfranchised by Political Leaders refusing to take action to stop the Genocide in Palestine and prevent further bloodshed. History has shown us that using tactics, such as carpet bombing against defenceless people, does not solve anything politically or remove any alleged threat to any country.

What can we do to get our voices heard?

Our MPs have been elected by us to represent us. Therefore we need to be calling them to account for their lack of action on this matter. Many people have written letters to their MPs and have received inadequate responses, much of which follow “the party line”.

There is not a single MP who does not have access to information about the history of Palestine or the numerous UN motions taken out to stop the brutalisation of the Palestinians and to protect their rights, all of which have been ignored by Israel.

Because of the continuing unfolding humanitarian catastrophe, we do not have time for anymore discussions. It is paramount that the terrifying situation that the Palestinian people find themselves in, the hostages and all those caught in the crossfire of this catastrophe is dealt with diplomatically and in a peaceful manner. The bombing must stop now and there should be a total lift to the embargo of basic humanitarian aid for the people.

Every MP needs to be put on notice that if they do not take action to call for an immediate and permanent cease fire and stop the genocide in Palestine, that we will withdraw our votes, encourage others to do the same and campaign against them at the next general election.

Any MP who thinks genocide is OK, cannot be trusted to look after our rights and welfare in this country, or indeed expect to be elected at the next general election.

There is no justification for the indiscriminate bombing of innocent people.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

INFORM YOUR MP THAT :

If he or she does not take action against this genocide, and calls for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, you will

  • WITHDRAW YOUR VOTE
  • ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO SO
  • ACTIVELY CAMPAIGN AGAINST HIM OR HER AT THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION

You can email this notice, place the notice on twitter,  facebook  and Instagram.

Spread the message far and wide on ALL PLATFORMS.

Encourage others to do the same.

If you receive a positive response email us and we will register it on this site.

An example of a letter:

Dear  {Insert MP’s name}

I will not support or vote for any MP that endorses Genocide against any people.

There needs to be a complete stop to the bombing and embargo on humanitarian aid and basic needs being blocked to the Palestinian people.

Therefore, I give you notice that if you do not take action to call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire to the bombing in Palestine, and call for a stop to the genocide being carried out, I will withdraw my vote for you at the next General Election, I will encourage others to do the same and I will actively campaign against you at the next General Election.

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO:

To campaign against your MP at the next General Election, work with friends and family to produce leaflets and distribute them in your local constituency.

Keep things simple. Explain why it is important not to vote for the sitting MP.

Attend peaceful protests by established organisers. Protest at your MP’s surgery, but make sure not to make anyone attending the surgery uncomfortable.
